My name's Apollo (he/they)
I'm an artist, writer, and historian drawn to stories about "monsters" in fiction. As a queer arab-American I grew up seeing myself reflected in characters described as “monsters” and “villains”. And while the world treated the Frankenstein’s monsters, vampires, and ghosts as some horrifying “other”, I viewed them as something else: me. Now, I use comics to stitch together stories about monsters who get to be loved!
As a freelance illustrator, I have 10+ years of contracted commission experience focusing on bright colors and diverse characters. My art has been showcased in multiple independently published projects: LIGHTS, PinOP, and Deadly Alliance.
